Stain Type                Removal Method
Iron Scorches           Stretch fabric over boiling water. Wipe with lemon juice and salt using a soft                                                cloth,  then rinse and wash.
Ink Stains                 Apply salt and lemon juice, scrub, and place over steam. Soak and wash with                                                detergent.
Rust Stains                Wet the fabric, apply salt and lemon juice, scrub repeatedly, then wash with                                                 detergent.
Mercurochrome        Wipe with ammonia or vinegar several times before washing with detergent.
Mustard                      Wipe with vinegar, then launder with laundry detergent.
Glue                             Soak in cold water, wipe repeatedly with vinegar, and wash with detergent.
House Paint               Remove while wet. Use thinner on a sponge, soak in warm water, then wash.
Blood Stains               Avoid heat. Soak in cold water. Use hydrogen peroxide for heavy stains before                                              washing.

Candle Wax               Scrape off gently. Place paper on both sides and iron to melt wax into the paper.                                        Wash in warm water.
