Professional Laundry Chemicals Guide: Clean Washing, Fabric Preservation, and Extended Fabric Lifespan
Industrial-level laundry or high-quality laundromats don't just rely on detergent. Choosing the right type of chemical and using it at the appropriate temperature ensures clean clothes and safety for the user.
1.Washing Machine Detergent (Main Detergent)
The core ingredient for removing tough stains. It contains surfactants and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, which help pull dirt from fibers and prevent stains from re-attaching to the fabric.
Key Feature: Excellent at removing plant and animal oils and fats.
Caution: Maintain an appropriate pH level for safety.
2. Bleach and Chlorine (Chlorine Bleach)
Suitable for white cotton fabrics only. Helps remove stubborn stains and kill germs.
Usage: Use at a high temperature of 70-80 degrees Celsius for approximately 7-10 minutes.
pH: Maintain chlorine concentration at 100 ppm and alkalinity at 10.2-10.8.
3. Oxygen Bleach (Oxygen Bleach)
A gentler alternative for colored and synthetic fabrics. Helps keep fabrics looking bright and prevents dullness.
Usage: Use 0.1-0.4% of the dry weight of the fabric. Use heat of 70-80 degrees Celsius to activate the oxygen.
4. Sour (or Washing Powder)
The final and most important step is using acid salts to rinse away chemical residues.
Function: Removes alkaline residue from detergents, removes chlorine, and eliminates rust from the water.
Result: Adjusts the final water pH to 5.0 – 6.5, which is close to skin pH, preventing irritation when wearing clothing.
5. Remove stubborn stains with a "Stain and Grease Remover."
For greasy stains on collars, trouser edges, or fabrics, using a surfactant in combination with a solvent will help break down stains that ordinary detergents can't remove.
Tip: Use only 0.05 – 0.2% of the fabric weight, mixed with detergent during the main wash cycle.
6. Save money with "alkaline booster" for heavily soiled laundry.
If you have to wash large quantities of laundry, such as restaurant tablecloths or napkins with stubborn food stains, using an "alkaline booster" (alkaline salt) can be very helpful.
Tip: Mix the alkaline booster in a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio with your detergent. This will improve washing efficiency while reducing the cost of using expensive detergents.
7. Finish with fabric softener for the perfect result.
This final step isn't just about fragrance, but also about caring for fabric fibers with "cachyonic surfactants."
Benefits beyond fragrance: Helps reduce static electricity, makes fabrics fluffy and soft, easier to iron (less wrinkles), and also helps reduce the spread of bacteria.
Recommended amount: Use only 5-10 milliliters per 1 kilogram of dry fabric.
